Brooklyn Ann
I am so excited to be an "auntie" again!! Brooklyn Ann was born on Monday night weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches. We are so happy for Nicole. I took Shianne to see her for the first time this morning. Shi was so excited to hold her. It really was not that long ago that Nicole was holding Shianne the same way!
Little ones grow up so fast and we are thrilled that we have a new member to our "family." Welcome Brooklyn Ann...we love you!

He makes me melt!
Lora came over today to do some pictures. I am one spoiled mama! Here is just a quick sampling of the pictures. Lamar has been initiated in what happens when you take a diaper off and hold a naked baby - twice!
Calum is doing great. Nora Beth calls him squishy. Why are babies made so darn cute? All I want to do is hold him and look at him.

Baby BBQ
On Saturday, our friends threw a big BBQ for us to celebrate the baby. I did not want a traditional baby shower and I had an amazing Blessingway with Nora Beth that I did not want anything that would compete with that. So, a big BBQ with friends was just what we needed. Lora did a great job of pulling everything together. I am so grateful to her for so many things. It was great to see so many people come and celebrate with us. We had friends from all facets of our lives - work, social, kids, his and hers - an eclectic mix.
Here I am with my friend Karinda. We are "due" at the same time, both having baby #3.

Lamar even had a moment of paying homage to the belly!
No party at the Lindsay house is complete unless Lamar blows something up! The fireworks came out and he is now missing some hair on his left arm and the neighbors have a small black spot in their lawn. Someday he will learn.

Pregnancy Photos!
This pregnancy is going by so fast. I am in the final month now. Our little guy will be here soon. Today is the last day that Lamar and I have off together without other plans so we are going to spend the day doing baby stuff. We are going to register for baby stuff today. I have been very reluctant to do this. We are so fortunate and really do not need anything outside of a few baby basics, but there has been an overwhelming request for us to go do this.
I am feeling good. Baby is so active, my most active child so far. He has been very happy to be in a breech position, either Frank breech (butt down, legs up), or transverse (laying across my belly). Both are very uncomfortable for me. I have felt like I have a bowling ball resting in my pelvis. So much discomfort in my lower back. No position is comfortable. I am also carrying this baby so low.
For my birthday, baby gave me the best present of all. He moved!! After crawling into bed he had this episode of extreme movement. Lamar and I were just in amazement of what he was doing. I eventually fell asleep and when I woke up I had a butt and feet in my ribs. He finally went head down!! Do the happy dance. I was suddenly so much more comfortable. Lets hope he stays this way. He has moved a few times in the past two days, but he goes back head down after a few hours. I will stay on top of this situation.
I am really tired. I remember having so much more energy with the girls. Maybe because I am older this time or I just have more things on my plate. I am waiting for that nesting urge to kick in, maybe I will have energy then. I could literally spend the whole day sleeping right now - in fact, some days I do. I just got out of bed an hour ago and I am already looking forward to my morning nap.
I am ravenously hungry for hamburgers and fresh fruit. I think I am eating half a watermelon a day now. They taste so good to me. Berries are just coming on this week, so I am sure that I will be buying those on a daily basis also.
I went and did some maternity photos with Lora last week. Here is the sampling, as promised. I can't wait to see the rest. We went up to her family cabin in the woods. It is a beautiful setting with trees, open space and a river.
Here I am sitting next to the old wood shed.

There was a patch of clover next to where I was sitting. I plucked one leaf since it had a heart shape.

We climbed down the rocks to the river. The girls had so much fun doing this.

Lora got me to laughing and quickly snapped this one. I just love it.

This one makes my belly look HUGE! Well, I have to admit... IT IS! But I do not have a double chin in the picture, so it is a winner..LOL!

A new prince to play with
I had to go in today for another ultrasound of the baby today. We wanted to verify that my placenta has moved up and away from the cervix. This would give us the green light to move forward with our home birth plans. Fortunately, all looks perfect!!!
I was so determined to not find out what this baby's gender was. I really wanted the surprise. I even told the ultrasound tech that I did not want to know. As she was looking at the baby and taking measurements, baby made it very obvious that it wanted us to know that it is a BOY!!!!! There was no avoiding the goods, I have seen enough ultrasounds to understand what I was seeing. I was also able to see his adorable chubby cheeks and head full of hair.
Lamar is so excited. Of course, we would be thrilled with another girl. We love our girls. We have all the girl stuff. We know what to do with girls. A boy is going to be fun. Lamar has already checked out NFLSHOP.com - football season is just around the corner.
Nora Beth sums it up best. She stated tonight that she was excited that Shianne no longer has to be the prince when she plays dress up, there is going to be a real prince in the house now!

Baby Room Reveal
It was hard for me to paint this room. This room was previously Lamar's office. I had spent many hours doing a faux leather technique on the walls for him to create the "man cave" he did not know he wanted. It was a surprise for him that I did while he was away for a long weekend with friends. It took two coats of primer to cover the dark paint. I then painted the cream stripe, taped off clean lines and then did the colors. It took three coats of each color to get the right coverage. I then painted the dots. I created a stencil and painted away. The dots also took three coats to get the right color. Very tedious, but worth it.
I am feeling good. The migraines are not gone, but getting better. My stomach is growing at a record pace. Baby is very active. Lamar was actually able to feel it move last night for the first time. The girls have been feeling it for weeks. I am about 24 weeks right now. Baby will be here before we know it. I have two more births to attend in the next two weeks and then I will be officially on "maternity leave." I plan on playing with the girls, going to Hawaii with Lamar and finishing some projects around the house. I do have some things that we need to get for baby, mainly diapers and a new crib mattress. I will concentrate on that when we get back from Hawaii. I will get a belly shot posted soon.

Baby Info
I have been getting so many phone calls and e-mails wanting info on the baby. So here is your info!
Yes, we are having a baby. We are not going to find out if it is a boy or a girl, we are just happy with the fact that, as far as we know, it is a healthy baby. I am not giving the exact due date, because I believe that baby will come when it is ready, regardless of the date. You can expect the little one to arrive at some point between mid July and mid August.
This pregnancy has already been so different from the girls and the girls were completely opposite experiences. I have had some morning sickness, although it hits me in the afternoon and evening and it has been no where as bad as it was with Shianne, but a little worse than Nora Beth. My biggest complaint is migraine headaches. I never had these with the other babies, although I have suffered from them since I was a teen. My only relief has come from acupuncture. The acupuncture has also made me feel much better in the afternoons. Grocery shopping is torture since my bloodhound sense of smell is in high gear. I CANNOT eat garlic, and I love garlic.
We are going to re-arrange the house to make room for this one. Lamar is moving his office to my office downstairs. My office will be moved into the bonus/craft room and the toys are just going to have to go into the kids rooms. Baby will get what was Lamar's office. I found some great paint colors and I will post pictures when I start the paining part of the project.
We are planning another home birth. This is what we did with Nora Beth and we want the same for this little one. I have a wonderful midwife that provides excellent care.
As for baby stuff, we are actually in pretty good shape. I saved everything from Nora Beth. I am searching for a new crib mattress and I have already picked out the cloth diapers I want.
I hope I touched on everything and answered your questions.
