Third time is a charm!

Last night we went to a BBQ at a friends vineyard. It was a wonderful evening with friends, food and wine. Lora brought her camera with her new lens and wanted to try it out with Nora Beth. Of course I am never one to turn down great pictures of my girls! We headed out to a field just before the sun went down. I love how these pics turned out.

Shianne announced last night that she wanted her ears pierced again. We tried this two years ago. The first attempt ended with Shianne in hysterics and no pierced ears. The second time came with many tears, but two pierced ears. About a month later an infection set in and we had to take the posts out. So the third time is a charm. There were some tears, Shi just does not like anything that could bring any kind of discomfort to her. She is so happy to have her ears pierced again. She is already eyeing my diamond earrings!

We spent the afternoon at a local pool with Lora and her boys. The girls just love to be in the water. Lamar was ready to relax after spending the morning staining the deck.

We just got Nora Beth a new life jacket. She was so excited to swim in the big pool with everyone else instead of being stuck in the kiddie pool.

Shianne is always trying to ham it up in the pool!

  1. That first picture is beautiful of Nora Beth and I love Shianne's pretty new earrings.

Your ground beef idea is BRILLIANT! I've never tried Bob's pizza dough mix. Do you have to add yeast and oil? We eat homemade pizza about once a week.

  2. The dough mix comes with yeast. You do have to add oil, water and eggs with the GF mix. Since we are not a GF family, I will not purchase this variety again and stick with the standard wheat kind.

I will post more of my time saving tricks today.
